Where no tyranny is tolerable

The Tenets Of My Faith

I believe I am everything I know,
that "I am ... all that I have met,"
and that all the friends I ever had
walk beside me wherever I go.

I believe I am a part
of everything there is and was,
that you are also part of me,
that you and I are universal.
I believe that all religion
is borrowed or made up,
that all divinities we worship,
all the demons that we fear
live only in ourselves.
I believe that Time will always win.
I believe that everything will pass.
I believe that nothing lasts forever,
In Nature, in People and in Change,
that all Life goes back from where it came.

And I believe that Friendship is for life;
and I believe someone will love me,
even if I don't know who she'll be,
that something I will bring is needed,
that by someone I am being sought.

Very powerful statement for the inherent goodness that exists within our potential. If by faith you seek to be of service in whatever ways that may entail, then your beliefs are served well, I believe.
