A silence so pure,it beckons to me
It promises endings and finally free
It brings with it comfort
Never questioning me
Would it truly bring peace,
To bring silence to me?

a poetic ponderance that only thy muse can answer.
Succinct introspective write...well done poet sir.

Silence can bring peace much closer---and the greatest silence is the stillness within each and every one of us.

silence can be so soothing and sweet... golden! but then sometimes it can be bitter and awkward too.
I like this kind of silence, and this poem, good write.

You are one to certainly fill the mind with your very profound questions and this one is also a good one to ponder. For me, silence and peace seem very much the same, but I do understand to others silence can be quite tormenting. Again, enjoyed reading.

That piece just made me want to hold someone in my arms and never let them go.  It made me want to cuddle next to someone just to let them know that they are not alone.
Thank you for the thoughtful piece.

One of my favourite quotes is from Ralph Waldo Emerson: "Poetry teaches the enormous force of a few words, and, in proportion to the inspiration, checks loquacity."
    -preface to *Parnassus* (1875)

This poem is a good example of the truth of such an observation. "Silence is golden" and so is this exquisite piece of wisdom.
