Crimson Red

Hands outreaching from her vision helped her seek a sound decision.
Though she seldom had a mission, now she's striving far ahead;
Goals were made for her to marry, burdens gone no longer carried,
All that was, now, dead and buried in a fertile flower bed.
All her pains and sorrows buried in a fertile flower bed
       Blooming roses crimson red.

Oh, what joy, she's so elated, known at last she's been created
For her soul's been reinstated to that place where she shall wed.
Oh, the thought of her succumbing to the chords of angels strumming
As she upward soars, becoming like her vision overhead.
Like the sunrise in the morning, silent rises overhead
       Spreading colors crimson red.

Rags now changed and disregarded, new gowns worn, and grace imparted
Led her to new worlds uncharted-- Though, the half has not been said;
"Thou art fair my love, behold thee. Thou art rare my bride, to hold thee
And as if mine eyes to mold thee, touch thine lips like scarlet thread.
Thy two breast are like two young roes and thine lips like scarlet thread
       Shine like rubies crimson red."

Next, regretfully, awakened  --from her dream that had been taken--
By her spirit that was shakened, she arose up from her bed.
Looked upon her new day's gleaming, thought about her night time dreaming
As she felt her insides beaming from her Bridegroom's arms outspread;
Yes, she knew the hand of mercy from her Bridegroom's arms outspread
       Filled with passion crimson red.

Trochaic meter has such a wonderfully flowing sound, especially when done correctly.  And this is done very, very correctly.

Excellent, excellent work.  I vote.

Enchantress,

Thank you sweet Poet for your vote and your hugs are always most welcome.

Joyce,

I'm glad that you found me too. This is a bit more cumbersome than what I'm used to.

Mysteria,

Your spirit must have been signaling mine here, because that is why I chose this poem as my First choice... I knew that you liked this poem so very much, I had full confidence in your insight, and I figured that just maybe it would be a hit with others as well.... And I do believe that your intuition here was very very good on this one. Thank you my Poet friend.

Thank you Bill Charles!!!

LngJhnAg,

(Big Smiles) Though I had some more topics of which to write, I think that this probably is a friendly compromise between being too long for some and not quite long enough for others.

Robert(BOB),
You are such a dedicated and talented poet--and this is but one beautiful example, which I will submit as Exhibit A--and Vote that it certainly should have a place. But I also feel from the quality and vastness of the many works I've seen of your, surely there is also just and ample justifation for publishing a Masterpiece book ALL YOU OWN, (To the Glory of God, of course)

I thank you for the many ways you have touched and influenced my life as well.

Ratleader,

Thanks. (Smiles) You are right, it was a challenge, but I guess that I just kept the color of "crimson red" embedded before my eyes.

deleeme,

Also, you have been a most good friend to me and a most positive influence on my live as well and it is so very good to see your name again here on these pages. (Reminds me of old times.) Thanks for stopping in, for reading my poem, and for your most humbling comments and vote.

Street Heart,

Like a great big cat fish... (YAY!!!) I'm Glad that this one's a 'Keeper' for you!!! Thanks my poet friend.

hoot_owl_rn,

(Gosh dang that Ron!!!) Thanks for coming back to read again for that really does emphasize the appeal of this poem in your mind in my mind... Due to your suggestion as well as others of whom I have the highest respect, I obviously should be expanding my horizons....but I do think that it would be a most wonderful accomplishment to be a part of this book and to be featured along side so many fine respected poets as is yourself.

GG (God's Girl)

I love your spirit here... I do believe as you have expressed here that poetry is a talent and as you well know... We are to take the talent of which God has given to us, not bury it, but to use it and to multiply it. (Amen) That is my goal and it is of great pleasure to see the talent of God given poetry expanded through such young talented poets as yourself. God bless.

Thank you skyshine!!!

suthern,

I appreciate it. I do look forward to hearing more from you as well as others, but I don't generally get out much past the walls of the Spiritual forums... I guess that is an area that I will need to rectify and work on... (Amen) Thanks again.

WhiteRose,

Just your simple acknowledgment here is fine and dandy in my view. Thanks my friend.
