So can you glimpse into my soul? Do the words written there intrigue you, make you ponder, and wonder, if I'm someone you know? Perhaps in another life you've seen me in anothers eyes or heard me in a song the words you did not know from long ago yet today they speak to you in a way so hauntingly...familiar whisper your life to your surprise Can you hear the distant thunder baby? Does it caress a deep part of your soul that others, long to visit yet still remains untouched As only me holds the key? Do you wake in the night to a sweat and a sight before your eyes in a mirror that is only regret longing for the words Once more to touch you again? Have we met before? Possibly you will dismiss as deja-vu this song that speaks directly to you and yet, someday maybe in a different place when you see me the look on your face will cause us both to stare as we both will be aware we've sang this tune...before Copyright © 2001 Dennis Hicks 12/28/01 |
