standing on a shadow's lace

Rich Liquid Eyes

pour out a little
something warm
when the lights
go down
thick, rich
and syrupy
not the blue stuff
make it brown
that special fluid
that does not run
but holds to
your skin in cling
melting the cold
and within
releasing pleasures with
the warmth it brings
