The night is coming in wash of black but I’m stuck in sky the color of his eyes down in the grass beneath the trellis so soaked in laughter we and the afternoon's breathing sun Was it only yesterday He tossed his coat on the cold of winter so I could see the leafs watch like neighbors busy holding on to joy their voices made of warm bread and wicker furniture This is the way it is you see the sun sharp in one place where the chair folds back and in the pond orange fish sing their popping sounds feeding me seconds I am hungry too for cactus spikes and rain in torrent and the smell of wet fur and fireplaces filled with burning and the way the evening melts the west into a bridge to him in faded denim smile and eyes the color of pacific swirl Take me back through yesterday's open door I’m cold as oranges closing in the trees back to the arms of breathing him in air the color of loving eyes [This message has been edited by Martie (12-27-2002 09:29 PM).] |

(smiles) Such beautiful embers always light in your words, sweet friend, and may you always feel this afterglow in your heart ripen sweeter than any tangerine can take! (kiss on cheek) I love it, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you!
