In the wind The leaves rustle The grass blows And I find myself falling in love With a feeling With a memory With you all over again As the stars shine I stand staring at the moon The beauty of God’s nature The works of his hands The gifts he has given The things I know The beautiful world we call home Snug by a fire Flames flicker in the dark Feeling so cozy Feeling so warm Lost in thoughts Of a love so pure It could only be you Under the sky The clouds overhead Float by gracefully Like large cotton beds I bow my head to give thanks to God For the one I love Because he gave me to you If you like this poem and would like to see more, visit Poetry of the Heart at chava_bonita.tripod.com |

Poetryoftheheart. Cool name.... I won't ask you how you came by it. I know... I absolutely loved this piece. I was floating on the wind for a moment there. Everything about your poem speaks to me of such etherial peace... of BEING... IN LOve. And I especially liked the part where you gave thanks for being with the one you love. I have a similar story. I will be sure to visit your site and I hope I see you in here more also. This is a wonderful place to make friends. Cherish the good memories of the past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow. But above all... be kind to yourself today. |
