Poetry is a way of expressing
The feelings I have inside of me
In how I tell them I can choose
In wich form I put the words I use

I might just tell you how I feel
Or write it down in words that rhyme
Either way there's only one goal
I need to connect to another soul

And whether I speak in dialect
Or express in perfect English tongue
As long as you can understand me
How could a choosen form be wrong

Titia, I feel the exact same way. As long as a poem is from a person's heart, that's all that counts to me. I love your poetry, friend, because it's always from your heart.

Titia,

This is marvelous. I completely agree and touching someone, no matter rhyme, rhmthm, or form is exactly what poetry should do. When someone says "It seems you wrote this just for me"...it is priceless....and it is usually that person who could not care less how it is presented. Content means everything.

This is the first time I've ever shared my poetry with other poets and there is a difference between non-poets who read and poets....
but everyone here is so friendly for the most part, so we are blessed to have found this site.
