close the laptop,
time for bed,
click me off,
do i stick in your head?

what remains of these words,
i give freely to you?
am i real enuf yet,
do i even ring true?

think a bit, cyberfriend
have you been duped,
played, betrayed?
an internet moment
simply carried away,

toss of the dice,
wave of the hand,
born again, cyberfish,
maybe next as a man,

look at that sweet face,
does she tell you a lie?
as she plays
your conforming game,
her persona may die............

You have always been real enough.....your writings just make you more interesting. Not everyone has a laptop but it does make it easier to commnicate when you take silver birds to northern climes from the long distance ny suburbs!
