happy valentines day.....

Unhappily Familiar

Sitting side by side, hand in hand,
holding you close, the mornings light breaks.
Golden light so full of warmth,
we looked out into our future.
And there my heart lies buried,
buried under a thousand rays of sunlight.

Standing in her full summer dress,
i just wish that i could caress.
Run my finger across your lips,
slide my hand behind your hips.
Moved in so close to my canadian rose,
kis those lips i will disclose... for all to know.

Picture after picture running through my mind,
this world wouldnt think of being so kind.
Just give me one more shot at happiniess,
maybe next time ill learn not to obsess.

Let love lead me astray, I dove straight in.
Straight off the deep end with a great big grin.
Looked so much deeper from where i was standing.
Had plenty of room, didnt expect a crash landing.

Why is it I always want what I cant have.
This life is so strange, unhappily familiar
Everythign I need is just out of my reach.
This life is so strange, unhappily familiar
Yet i sit stretched out trying to grasp

This life really isnt so strange, yet unhappily familiar.

A dream is but a dream, you can wake up.  Reality is ultimate, and those who share it with us are far more important than anything we could remember,

'Tis human nature, methinks... and we're all human... This is an insightful write, so...

Nan - Agreed, human nature. Live - Love - Learn! We all go through it and hopefully come out on top.

Albert - *smiles* Thank you! Didnt expect that! But ill take it and run like a bandit! haha

garysgirl - Thanks for the words, i most definelty appreciate them. Keeps a shy guy posting. I plan to post more next week sometime. I dont want to go crazy stlye and post um all at once and clutter the board.
