~* Lyra, You Are Loved *~  She scampers through the halls of Passions Collecting good friends like acorn nuts. And when it comes to standing tall, This little Chipmunk sure has guts. She always has a very kind word To say about anything and everyone. And when it comes to a sense of humor Madame Chipmunk’s just so much fun! You’ll never find her chin down on the ground, She’s just too busy helping others out. Lyra knows how to really live her life, Some could learn from her what it’s about. She stands tall for integrity, honesty and truth, Our tiny Lyra is a shining example to us all, For when it comes to life struggles She stands up straight, while others fall. The words, “give up” are not in her vocabulary, She shines as a pillar of undaunted strength, And when it goes to finding answers Madame Chipmunk goes to any length. I don’t think I’ve once heard her say, “I am just ready to give up!” She’s just too busy living life, And drinking from its’ loving cup. And in-between her life struggles, She writes poetry to melt your heart and soul. Her obvious love of nature’s beauty Is the balance that keeps her whole. She’s graced these halls with poetry, And has right from the very start. She shared her craft and friendship, love of life, and most of all, her heart. So this simple poem is for Lyra Madame Chipmunk we all love you, And today I'm simply writing this, So you will know it’s true. You have made a big difference, In the things you do and say, So this poem is just for you Lyra, Because my heart is thinking of you today. ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Lyra, This is a little poem to let you know how important you are in my life, and how much better it has been for having you in it.  (tears fall down my cheeks) God Bless You, sweet friend, Lyra is a true angelic friend and compassionate person and a loving garden pest, it saddens me to see her absent but I know she will heal and grow stronger than ever before in love as she is filled with so much love and compassion I seldom see in comparison! On this first day of Channukah I was drawn to read a poem I wrote for my friend Rene, or Lyra the sweet chipmunk. Somehow this day is much warmer having done this. She is missed. |
