On the Beach
By Larry Chadwick
Finally, some romance!

The stars were out,
The moon was full,
The tide was slowly coming in.

The sand was warm,
The time was right,
I could not hold it in.

Your eyes so deep,
Your smile so bright,
Your tender look tonight.

I held my breath,
I heard your sigh,
The time was finally right.

I took you close,
I whispered love,
And snuggled up so tight.

With eyes closed shut,
Lips met lips,
Passion at last flowed.

This would be the place,
It would begin,
Love that is now known.
February 11, 2003

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Perfect title for romance.  Could spring be far???

I sing to life
To it's tragic beauty
To pain and strife
Let all that dances through me
The rise and the fall, I lived through it all

Hello y'all I'm new here and this is the first poem I have read on the board. Larry, I must say I was quite pleased for your poem to have been the first. Beautiful.
