Like a lump of sticks sprawled out awkwardly, seemingly in a daze, my intoxicated soulmate somehow sleeps. He's lying flat facing no particular direction, letting the heavy waves set on top of him, not quite sinking him into the floor.A lung rises up lazily from it's rooted self and the air around is still; so are his limbs. His body lie motionless on that unaccommodating dirty, green shag carpet. Saliva glistens in the corners of his mouth not aware of the rank smells eminating from below. Electricity buzzes around his head, dreaming a dream of something unknown. |
