Picture by Alan Ayers * * * * Through my grief I started writing Since then my life has turned around I feel my life now has more purpose There are new friends I have found The words flowed with little effort As my heart needed to be heard The real me was soon revealed Through each and every word My infinite love of romance And my fascination of the sea Have brought so much joy And inspiration to me I haven't always been a writer And I'm so grateful for this gift I feel I have more confidence My life's been given such a lift Through my love of writing I've found another side of me As I share my life with others Through a writer's eyes I see * * * Many of you may or may not know that I have only been writing for two years and so far I have penned in excess of 640 poems. Before then I had never written a thing and I truly believe that it was through the unbearable grief at losing my father to asbestos cancer that caused me to pick up a pen.A flood of emotions inspired me to put my thoughts into words and I haven't put my pen down since. I thank each of you who have taken the time to read my words and who glimpse inside my heart. You have constantly inspired and encouraged me to continue my newfound passion and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Love Sue I am in motion |

Ah Sue..I had a feeling it was the loss of your dear father that started you on your road to writing. And what a beautiful poetess you are... Your father is smiling down at you and we here at Passions are very very proud to have you with us sharing your words. ~Hugs & Smiles, Nancy~ ~ Trace my body with your words.. |

What a beautiful loving gift to his memory, and to all of us who have been allowed to share life's moments with you. Keep that pen in motion. |

I have read and enjoyed many of your writings, but haven't commented before. This one reminded me of Francis Bacon's thoughts on writing. He writes it for men as it was in the 17th century..but I think it applies to any mind that is used. I like your writings. Ken J As Francis Bacon observed, "Reading maketh a full man; conference a ready man; and writing an exact man." Think about that also. That is very true. "Reading maketh a full man; conference a ready man; and writing an exact man." And so we write more exactly than we speak. |

Sue, I am very glad that I have been able to read some of your poetry. It is very beutiful and I can tell that each poem comes from your heart. . . . Sue, I'm really sorry about your Dad. I also have bad lungs, COPD, with some asbestosis. Mine isn't cancer, though. I know that he has to know that you are helping others through your wonderful writing...
