Though I smile as we talk Inside? My heart cries one more time you pull away telling me that you are not the man that I should care for But you only think you know what I need what’s in my heart my past my future You hold me in the present like a gift you are afraid to open for fear it will be some silly prank that leaves you with nothing You won’t listen to me won’t hear the words from my mouth You think the touch of you holds nothing more for me than a momentary blush of pleasure But you don’t know you don’t know The touch of you leaves me scarred branded with you and it’s a brand I will wear proudly you don’t understand because you see yourself in her eyes not mine I am not her I am me You say I am your muse for the moment you are mine forever |
