Leave the old photo album On the roadside Between Cleveland And hell Forgetting memories She spits at you Drive off in your mint 56 Mustang Toward Vegas Drunk Gambling slurred emotions At Elvis's all night wedding chapel Waking up to a stranger Looking like Dr Ruth Bleed happy thoughts Till you float away And never have To come back here again Laughing all the way to Nashville Write a top 40 song About a life gone wrong Swimming in pools of Washingtons Till your Dr Ruth impersonator Wakes you up with an image of big lips Coming straight for your face With a big slobbery kiss The perfect end to country song That sadly is your life After too many hits of acid. Ask me about my book! [This message has been edited by Brad Majors (02-03-2003 12:52 PM).] |

smiling...first yer in drag and now yer on acid--you havin' a mid life crisis Brad? and I actually know what life is like after too many hits of acid. sigh. Skip Dr. Ruth, replace Vegas with New Orleans, and the Elvis impersonator with a Steve Perry wanna be/has been and, yep, you've got it. Enjoyed much Brad. |

i enjoyed this poem very much, but liking country music myself I don't think that would be the perfect ending to a country song. keep up the good writing though. Andrea |

I was drawn in by the title and found myself laughing by the end. On days like today, anything that makes a person laugh is not a bad thing |

(giggles) Why not, there's plenty of reflux and Visine and Pepcid AC as there is already in country right now! (sigh) This is wonderfully deep, sweet friend, we al love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Dan, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..."
