I said I’d need a miracle
To turn it around
And you just can’t see
That it’s you
I want it to be

You are everything
And nothing that could be
But you just can’t see me
I’m so inferior
And so small

I said I’d need a miracle
To turn it around
And you still can’t see
That this
Is killing me

You are amazing
I can’t think of your face
Without wanting to smile
But you just won’t see me
I’m too small

I said I’d need a miracle
To turn it around
But you have your back turned
And without looking
You’ll never see

That you are the only one
That I want it to be.

small insignificant useless me

Well done my friend...to bring to light the way we short ourselves, when we believe that someone else is greater, better or more a treasure to behold.
Will make us think, and choose wisely whom we grace with our love. ThisDiamond

Very good, and yet very true for a lot of people. Thank you for sharing. I hope everything works out.

You've expressed the emotion very well in this piece.
I could 'feel' your words as I read.
Nicely done.

Why do we always want what seemingly can't (or, perhaps, shouldn't) want?  Haven't most of us been there?  Nice poem though.  Barb

All things are possible but after all is said and done and experienced I don't really want a woman that doesn't want me...that doesn't think I am special...a very important concept to consider...James

Ask for a miracle enough and Im sure you will get it in due time!  Very touching piece!
