I stained the toes of silken slippers
trancing in the disarray
casting shadows on the floor
dancecards in discarded dreams...

bring on the alliteration and assonance

I don't know fellow K...I don't know...for so short a poem...might be a little too much, though I love this line:

'trancing in the disarray'

huggles hon

K

I know, fellow K...

smiling...

this sort of sums up how I feel about my writing right now...smile? bright lights and a big mess...

huggles back you.

bright lights big mess, so are cities, doesn't take away from its richness and character but adds to it. stop the nonsense and realize how great a writer you are silly

I realize what you're saying, but sometimes it's not about rhythm, but naked emotion and you have plenty of that. It's what makes you and your words beautiful, remember that and keep writing.

bind the toe in cotton cloth
listen to the wings of moth
as all as to what Raph would say...
and wind us in another day...

I sing and dance
alongside
your words,
sweet sister
of the blue.

My day is not complete until I've read

Thanks gang, but I fear the writer's block is showing...maybe I'll keep this for another day, another write. Thanks for your kindness.
