Listening to every heart

                                        Tender Tones

Stand away from the black and white
of your time, no need to
decide, for this moment, right or wrong
                                        up, or down,
                                        in, or out,

                                        step away,
                                        and examine tender tones
                                        in shades of gray,

                                        embark upon your drift
                                        past tentacles
of grasp, beyond snags of life,
                                        toward a tranquil time,

where shape and shadows quiver, weaving
                                        a warmth into your awareness,
                                        and you realize,

how minute you are in the universe,
how grand you are to a dust
                                        mite,

and how, here, in tender tones
                                        and shades of gray,

                                        you are loved,
                                        by one.

It's all relative, isn't it?... Rarely black and white... Nicely penned, Sunshine...

Yes, Sunshine.....I love the shades of gray, and stepping away from the harsh reality of black and white!  Just like life, there are undertones, if we but choose to look.

A truly happy person is one who
can enjoy the scenery on a detour!

"how minute you are in the universe"  On a day like today, we do really feel what a humble portion of the universe we know.  KJ

Mijn lief once told me on a difficult day, that there is not only black and white... there is so much grey in between...

This poem brought me back into his arms for a moment...

Thank you Sunshine!!!

Dear friend, I've always perfered to see things in shades of gray rather than in black and white. How often our sight is jaded when we try to make distinctions that way (black or white). Excellent write
