I light the candle and watch it burn Soft flicker in the darkened room A fragrance chosen just to fit a sweet romantic interlude I watch the wax puddle and melt Slide downwards in a soft trail I reach to brush away the tears Melting and sliding down my face What happened in between the time I bought this candle for this night I sit and watch it slowly burn and gasp in want for the loss of you |

I light the candle and watch it burn Soft flicker in the darkened room A fragrance chosen just to fit a sweet romantic interlude ================================ What happened in between the time I bought this candle for this night I sit and watch it slowly burn and gasp in want for the loss of you ============================= this is a bittersweet beauty.... your flow and assonance made this a pleasure to read aloud...but a whisper does it the most justice... lovely writing. Trees are poems that the earth writes upon the sky. |
