(This is a spiritual ballad I wrote inspired by Shakira's song of the same title, one of my favorite songs ever! Hearing that song, I thought of a spiritual love that made me smile and this spin-off came to my heart, as in "Underneath your clothes" He is always there for you, all you need to do is ask!

I'm re-posting this from Spiritual as I am seeing my idol Shakira tonight in concert, yay!!! (does happy dance) )

Underneath Your Clothes

Chanting kyries at 5 in the morning
Sipping the spirulina of an aloe canopy
I take the shawl off of my chest
And tie it around my waist
In every baby's eyes I feel consanguineous
I thought I was an also-ran, but I'm now acknowledged
Of the fact that this is only one chapter
Of the story I'm screenwriting

Who would ever think of
Such an incandescence that follows
To watch a thunderstorm
Spawn a perfect rainbow
And watch these streets with no names
Flower with the samaras of a sugar maple
And finding your shoulder no longer freezing
When it is suddenly touched by an angel

Underneath your clothes
There is a friend in both you and me

Jesus loves you always sincerely
He can tame lions,
He can groom the sheep
Take this glove
Ease your heart to caprice...

Maybe I'm just miffy
But these feelings to me are righteous
His song lullabyes me like a child
Swathes my wounds and I don't need a bandage
I now wear this cleavage
Found a resource more durable than iron
I'm careening the deck of this ship
So I can sail away freely

We have different names but we're all intertwined

I agree with Sy. Also, there are so many lines I like, I'd almost have to quote entire poem. Loved the pic, as well. Have fun.
