What do these words mean to me
They translate to English I Love You
A phrase that says your heart is true
However wonderful those three words are
They fail to convey what I mean by far
There are no words that I can say
That embody what I feel today
My soul has been touched deep as can be
No words are known for what this means to me
Can I breathe without any air
The night sky without stars, now thats unfair
Can a tree grow so beautiful and green
If the suns beams, it never has seen
A lawn with no grass, a beach with no sand
Now thats more than I could stand
Thats how I feel without you near
Like driving a car with no wheel to steer
My heart adrift in an endless sea
Thats how it feels when you are away from me
For no heart beats in my chest
No time to lay for a rest
My soul keeps searching until you are found
When my heart starts beating it's thunderous sound
Saved again from the clutches of death
Given one more chance to take a breath
To drink once more from your soul
That elixr of life that takes it's toll
You give me so much, what can I say or do
With words so inadequate, as I Love You

(sigh) Oh David, this is lovely, sweet friend, those three words are indeed cliche yet they are those which should always be treasured and the centerpiece of all that is love, of course ones feelings should be elaborated from that grand design! (big hugggssssss) This is wonderfully honest, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet David, thank you for sharing!

Thank you all so very much for your replies. I Love You is sometimes overused. Simply for the lack of any word or phrase that can compare. Thank you all again, it is comforting to know that there is so many others who feel so strongly. (HUGS) Dave
