There is something that lives in everyones eyes Yet no funeral is held, when it crumples and dies It embodies what everyone wants to be Clearly visable even if you can't see So descript, detailed in every way Everyones right no matter what people say Giving us hope everlasting forever Working with our strengths and faults oh so clever Allowing escape from everyday life From the pain, anguish and the strife Sometimes the impossible happens again Its telltale sign from the eyes is sent The eyes become empty without their gleam The cold hearted residue of the dying of a dream |

I like this one. I'm always bothered when I see "life" and "strife" rhymed though. They're way over-used. "I don't need to scream for you to deem me aggravation." |

Glad you liked it, I know what you mean about "life" and "strife" also. Thank you for reading and giving me your opinion.. |
