Captivated Prisoners The clear water's surface Reflects further growth Silver flowing strands Slowed down in pace A childish kind of mindset Grown to noble ambition Emotion’s waves receding Understanding inlet Whispered softly In the words of the land “To deepest of affection Young love will expand!” Romantic haze Blinding of the eyes Bandage of sentiment The final days So quilted life’s fervor From this fragmented fabric Fresh dreams spun Memory’s server All fellow prisoners Of the splendor and travail Bound upon this Earth Bending near to listeners: “Heed your inner song To reflect upon yourself.” |
