    “LIKE IT WAS THEN”

               ~~~~
When the wind blows in chill,
and the leaves fall in autumn,
my heart is heavy with you,
I lie my head
      on your bosom…
My words come quietly from within,
in whispers with each heartbeat,
listen to what I’m trying to say,
for they speak
      of love incomplete…
When the snow falls with grace,
and the winter cold arrives again,
I would miss your tender touch,
like it was once ago,
      like it was then…
Bill... Smooth as always. Enjoyed...Paul
Touching words of a love that screams to be complete.
My words come quietly from within,
in whispers with each heartbeat,
listen to what I’m trying to say,
for they speak
      of love incomplete…
Bill,
This sounds as if you lost someone very near and dear...it is sad...
but so well written, and like said above, only as you can write them.
I think that sense of incompleteness can also be caused by divorce or separation.
