Knightmare Race / Lightening Win

All my dreams are dark of late
and death, in keening calls
should I surrender to my fate,
within these pallid walls.

Not all your dreams are dark I know
Nor all your thoughts are ill
Unshield your eyes and onward go
Towards the far green hill

No gleam of sunlight shines on me
in blackest night, I roam;
I seek the door that sets me free
or one that leads me home.

Reach out your hand I am here
In sunlight’s vale I wait
I’ll close the door to darkest fear
And hold wide heavens gate

No starlit path to guide my way
no Ariendiel for me,
but dark of night, I hope to stay
and pierce with eyes that see.

.The light still waits to guide you home
Its shining bright for you
No path of fear you need to roam
The words I speak are true

I walk this road alone, alone!
For comfort draws not near
through the vale, of blood and bone
is my heart drawn and sere.

No need to walk alone I’m there
To pace the path with you
I’ll chase the demons of despair
Promise to see you through

A single tear flows, down my face
forerunner of the flood
for now, a simple act of grace
cannot be met by blood.

Dry your tears they need not fall
No flood of tears for this
I’ll hold against the tide of all
With my beloved kiss

No light, no hope, no way of power
redeems me, from my fate,
in this place, within this hour
my task, to sit and wait.

The light I bring to clear the dark
A shining torch of hope
Heed the words, now listen hark
You're free to shed life's rope

The darkness crowds, with choices made
that led me to this place,
all the power I have will fade,
for I have lost the race.

The race is won I say to you
The choice you made is wrong
The truth is here but woven through
The new dawn’s blessed song

Keth and Marsha

Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds
but I can face the future with courage brave and bold

Oh, my. *S* This is excellent, ladies!!! I'd read Keth's contribution and thoroughly enjoyed it (though I was remiss in saying so... sorry! *G*)

But just when I think it can't get much better, you weave these excellent poems together... and you make magic. *S* Great work!!!!

See, I knew this needed something I just didn't know it was the touch of your magic pen. Thanks beloved, for all the things I can't say.

Seeeeeee!  Nevah argue with someone who loves you soooo dearly, Maaasha!  In a hopeless situation, the props we need are in the hands who hold us tenderly.  Totally an outstanding post, y'all, and Marsha, it is wonderful to see you write and post once more.  Hugs to you both.  You are indeed lucky Marsha, to have someone of Keth's caliber of caring to tend to your needs of the heart.
