Tall lushly treed, thick surround,
shimmering stillness,
ahead and behind,
up narrowing mountain pass,
twenty mile an hour curve,
at forty-five, black on black,
tire hugging asphalt,
a dry road, safe run,
knowing you ~are~

close.

View drops on one side,
and wall grows on the other
with shiny, silvery green rock.

Ahhhh,
breath stuck,
as sun dazzles it's grace.

And,

I mind squint, at the thought
of you

~existing~

and I so near.

I would ascend any height, go on
any treacherous trip, just to know

this rush.

Will you meet me
as the rock solid wall,
a strong embrace,

or,

will I know a deep canyon fall?

I'll not risk it at all, instead,

I shall make you my vista,
a view of nature
so beauteous and fresh,
as if new mountain snow
crisp-clean, unspent,

my warmth from within
melting you,

quenching my need.

Hurry, I must

knowing
you

~exist~.

Wow!. A very descriptive verse of someone about to free fall into love. The anticipation in this makes the eye continue down the beutifully phrased page.
Splendid!

Elizabeth said it best.  A free fall is exactly what I experienced.  You captured the moment.

Pat, I love the way you did this. Like the others said, it's like the reader is falling as they read down the page. But, it's not a scary fall, it's like floating......

Sometimes it's better to use a parachute and slow the fall down somewhat...but this is great
