oh-but-this--
this is my blood
I pray you feel my quickening
pumping pulse to vein obscene
purple now
beneath white skin--
intense.

Fur on hand
becoming paw
(hear my sting)
elongate jaw
beckoning
with one curled claw--
convinced.

Tail in twitch
of inner itch--
a whim in wait
of destined cue--
steady gaze
in shades of blue--
and welcome green
of olde absynthe.

Jazz in just
a flick of ear
a lazy tongue
just for effect
I curve my back
to fit your palm
beneath white skin--

intense...

It's over long before her fall from grace, she's never been this far from safe.
Trying to see where it all began, she'll never be the same again.

Nan? a "well done" from you and I do cartwheels. I was even thinking of you after I posted realizing how much I learned in your workshops. A debt of gratitude here.
