Restless nights
aching heart
tears in eyes
alone in fright
drifting unto
desolate shores
remembering
loving you...

No more
a spirit
filled with joy
now overwhelmed
in sense of void
bottomless
spiraling down
isolated
lonely bound...

While in the stillness
of the night
a chime of clock
each hour would sound
as she lay awake
minutes tick away
just as her dreams
fade away...

As winter's blanket
frigid cold
would wrap itself
unto her soul
draping her
in crease of fold
bittersweet
forevermore...

If only
the truth be told
deep down inside
a yearn profound
for that special touch
one of a kind...

(big hugggssssssss) Oh my gosh, this so deeply touched my heart, sweet friend, I too am suffering this bittersweet heartache right now and I know Sandra will find this special touch of love and all her dreams will come true soon in time as I hope you have found this happiness for your deserving heart! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this will so deeply touch her heart, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

You have captured what is in that heart so well sweet lady.  Is it ever good to see you back here and to read your wonderful poetry.  The sadness and torment felt within these words came alive through your writing.

well done poetess girlie...so good to read you again.

Well, you must have been here before I came here, because I don't remember reading you before. It sounds like you have lots of friends here, so I hope you are back to stay?
I really enjoyed reading this poem. It is beautiful.
