I sit here mesmerized,
the lights on the tree reflecting on glass
another time, another place...
when I was a moonchild and
Wilfred Yeats, with his words of praise,
his support when I was down, his never-ending friendship
and his compliments
that I will always hold dear...
would say, "I wish I'd written this -
and I'd change not a syllable"...
This is for you Bill, as I read over my words,
your words in response and I think tonight
about those in my life I have lost,
in real, and on here.

'til then...

~i breathe you~
in my lungs
deeply
withholding
trying not to exhale
until forced to,
knowing
that I
will enjoy
over and over
each new breath...

~i think you~
in my mind
forming vignettes
to sustain me
when apart,
knowing
that there will never be
a repeat performance
but always
a new and challenging one
to look forward to...

~i taste you~
on my lips
sipping from you
slowly
savoring the flavor
enjoying every last drop,
sometimes
leaving just enough
to tempt my thoughts
remaining
always, with you...

~i feel you~
on my skin
leaving traces
of your touch
kisses
on my eyes
to my lips
down my neck
leaving behind
a seething trail
of desire...

~i hold you~
in my hands
in my heart
in my mind
'til light arrives
to touch me
with words
of clearing skies,
having soared with the dark
riding moonbeams
just to pass the time...

'til then...

M

Wow! You blew me away with this one! You truly did! I'd have to rewrite the whole poem to show you all the lines I loved!

~ You deserve to be loved like this as well!

Little Mo this is truly exquisite writing sometimes you amaze me with your abilities you really do. Truly one of your best I love it utterly utterly utterly

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Sy, nope it doesn't...*s
I was thinking of Bill and Bill( my dad) and poetry and warmth and reflections of happier times... thanks

Linda, I use to write on here as MMoonchild, and a friend of ours on here Wilfred Yeats, was a very romantic writer  and a good friend who passed away over a year ago...but he was very inspirational and always had a kind word to share. And this was a favorite poem of his that I wrote.

Marsha, thanks dear I appreciate your support as well.

you sure sound hooked on this love....
its all consuming, when you feel someone so deeply, but pure hell waiting for them

hmmmmm, it use to be all consuming and feeling someone so deeply is what it is all about but i am really not waiting..I am enjoying..'til then... is just another phrase meaning when I see you next.

This was written over 2 years ago...I probably wasn't even in love then, just in love with loving and words.
thank you

Dixie, Vicky, Salty, Daniel, yes I wrote this about the Bill we all know from another site and here.
thanks
M

CocoBaci, you were certainly delving deep into the past to bring this forward. I am glad you enjoyed it. I was  thinking of Bill at the time I wrote it and posted.
Hugs back
