Your lack
of
response
is more than an

~I don't care about you~.

It's an indication

you,
   ~don't want me~.

Not sure which
  hurts more,

your uncaring attitude,

or,
even, after all this time,

my

~Pathetic Neediness~

for you,

~STILL~!

Ron,

You are absoluetely right. Hate is still on the same spectrum of love, just on the other end...

Indifference is everything when it comes to lack of love...

Thanks for your response.
Warm regards, Pat

Yes, I think that "indifference" is sometimes worse than "hate".
Sometimes when someone thinks they hate another person,
it's only love covered up.....if that makes sense.
On the other hand , when someone becomes indifferent towards
their previous Love, I feel the relationship is completely over.....

Was just browsing through some dusty poems and pulled this one up. Which struck my attention one because its good(!) and two because right now there a bunch of family of playing games who's upset with me and keep giving me that evil eye 'cause I refuse to play an RPG ..yea but I'm rambling as I tend to do.

Alyssa,

This sure was dusty. It's old! Couldn't remember it by title name.
Glad you like it. It is not a personal incident, though I can remember feelings of rejection and not being wanted or included or (?) at some point of time...by those I loved and needed...tho. I was taught from early childhood to need nothing and took me years in adult life and hard work and 100's of books to realize it is okay to 'need' and learned then, to separate out need from want....

Anyway, I didn't understand your reply, not quite sure what you were talking about, but am glad you found this of some benefit...

hugs and love, Pat

Kaile,

How nice to hear from you. Been awhile. Yes, ~Pathetic Neediness~ a self-loathing of sorts, sometimes...

WEAK WEAK WEAK...Yes, but it is okay to feel weak and recognize what that entails.  To Need is okay to a degree. Whether others are ~willing~ or ~able~ to respond to that need is another matter.

The worse folly in childhood was the 'spoof' of how strong I was...that is an unfair label to put on anyone....
especially those in formative years...
Courageous and brave is okay, but NOT strong!

Re: Pathetic Neediness - As adults our best bet is to build a circle of true friends who can and will love us back when we need to be loved. Cut out of that circle those who would bring us down with their contempt. The best way to get friends is to be one....

Thanks to you both for responding.

Hugs, Pat
