Spirits of Hell
Thin as you may be
I love the Christ and
Your existence in my life
Will not dominate me
I'm free of you and you’re whispering too
Fear of Jesus separates you from me
Accuser may the Lord hold you speechless

Creeping things
In this fallen world
Want to dominate
Where you don't belong
Doubt I bind you by the faith in the Lord Jesus
Doubt I bind you by the faith in the Lord Jesus
Satan you must flee from the spirit of Jesus within me
Jesus gives freely His freedom and liberty

May the Lord bless those who perceive these words
And keep their hearts focused on Him
Not on myself or my carnal humanity
The Lord rebukes my accusers because they distract from Him
I also speak freedom from spoken curses or bindings
Or whatever form of practice would be used
As a means of control and separation from God by human effort
And I pray that God will bless my brothers and sisters in Christ
If you're a stranger to the Kingdom
I pray he'll reveal himself to you
And a spirit of love will bring unity to the Body of Christ

I remember hearing a sermon where the pastor said, that some Christians are superstitious enough to pray to demons, and even Satan, rather than praying to God.  That's what I was thinking of when I read this.

It's evocative, a good capture of a certain attitude that we've all felt to those pesky incarnations of the immoral supernatural.  Also, a good admixture of actual prayer with poetic apostrophe.

Satan you must flee from the spirit of Jesus within me.
The Lord rebukes my accusers because they distract from Him.

Those two lines stood out for me. Alone they stand so powerful. It gives me pride to show those who will listen my belief, my pride in God; and for those who choose not to listen it strengthens my resolve. Sometimes I feel as if it is a battle for our souls and this could be our war cry.
