Mary gave her Son life,
that he could give her eternal life
Mary gave her Son nourishment
that He would feed her soul
Mary gave her Son friendship,
that He would be Friend to all men who come unto Him
Mary gave Him a home
and He gave her an eternal home, forever to reign with Him

as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Dee,

Though, as identified by your poem, what Mary gave pales in comparison to what Jesus gave her, the Bible does say that we should give honor to whom honor is due and I thought that your poem did a Wonderful job here of giving such due honor to both Mary and Jesus.
