“Be still and know that I am God”. I read. What does it all mean? Stillness of heart is time in prayer Worshipping our King. Stillness of heart is also peace Knowing He’s the One Laying it down and walking away Knowing He’ll get it all done. Stillness of heart is gratitude And humble thanking Him For all He does tho we don’t deserve And for when our light grows dim. A stillness of heart means my God is there When all seems to be going wrong And I feel His loving hand in mine And He makes this heart beat strong. I thank you Lord, for my stillness of heart For without You, it would not be. For You are my peace, and contentment when all The world blows wild and free. When turmoil surrounds and disappointments flood And I don’t even know where to start I get on my knees and I know You are there For You are my stillness of heart as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. |

Deanna, You've written a beautiful poem that brings hope, peace, and "stillness of heart" to the soul as one reads it. What came to my mind as I read your poem was the image of Jesus standing in the boat tossed and turned by the storm and saying to the troubled waters, "Peace be still... Peace be still." Enjoyed reading your poem very much and, again, God bless you my friend. -Bob |
