Who Will Reign? To Proverbs 30:20-23 (Possible Meaning) (20)An adulterous women will lay with a man And hide the evidence there in. She acts as though she’s done no wrong Even though she’s deep in sin. (21)Three things disturbed David And four he couldn’t bare, Why does the servant reign Doesn’t the master care? (22)He fills himself with food(sex?) And cares only for this joy, As his servant slowly takes his reigns As from a foolish boy. (23)Or a disgusting married women Who excites other men to her, Will find that she lived life Without a conscience stir. Dying young in filth and sin Her handmaid takes her place, And all that people remember Is her life of such disgrace. The lesson I think is very plain Though some may wish not to agree, If we aren’t faithful in this life Heaven’s gates we will not see. Those we consider far below us Will walk through heavens door, For they in actions lived the life And loved their Savior more. While we are eating the pleasures of life They Studied God’s Open Word, And as we watched them take our place This is what we heard. “I do not know you, part from me “Treasures and fun you stored up high, “Your life of selfishness abound “And your reward is coming nigh.” I’d rather be a handmaid meek In my Father’s home today, Then a child of this world Deceived in satan’s way. Very nice Marie. There is this one scripture that I thought of when reading this. The one where our fathers burdens are far less than the worlds. It is true forgivness is easier on the body and heart than not just as joy is easier on the body and heart than sorrow and so on. I need to remind myself of these things myself. Great poem. ~Raven ~Best Regards,Raven Smith |
