No Time For God Just like some men I knew before, who had no time for my Lord, They spend time chasing dreams, built upon darkened schemes. They say faith’s akin to fantasy, since God’s Spirit men can’t see, So they build upon temporal plans, with their hopes built on man. They put faith in all they can see, dismissing the God of eternity, Who holds together all we know, through Christ who loves us so. Many simply say they can’t afford, to give their time to The Lord, All their time, these men spend, on earthly dreams that will end. Men build upon this earthly sod, human ideas they treat as gods, Religiously they are bowing to, the works of men like me and you. As these men truly build their faith, upon what their minds create, While they ignore the very one, who created earth and everyone. And not only is He their Creator, He too, is The Lord and Savior, As God had sent His Only Son, as God’s Salvation for everyone. With God’s plan for both you and me, to live through all Eternity, When we have faith in Jesus Christ, God gives to us Eternal Life. If only men would take the time, to look and see in God’s design, God with ways higher than men, came so we may be born again. Heeding His thoughts also higher, following His plan is His desire. That man could live forevermore, in Eternity with Christ our Lord. He's coming very soon, the signs are very clear, |

Someone said, "We must keep our eyes our Creator and not on His creations." Just like Peter when he walked on the water looking at Jesus, then turning his attention to the waves, he sunk, because he lost faith. It's so true with all of us when we take our eyes off our Lord. Thanks for sharing this. Rae |

Loads of wisdom in this poem. It never ceases to amaze me how man puts all he has into his own journey, something away from Gods purpose and how it almost always ends up with a loss on earth, let alone the cost after death. Family is pushed aside, marriages, addictions can arise, etc., so much of what man tries to touch, ends up controlling his life and much lacking in his search for satisfaction occurs. ~Best Regards,Raven Smith |
