10:30 eyes and a 9:30 clock
the minutes tick, the hours tock

old Sandman dances about my head
while sleeper's dust makes my bed

lashes heavy as chains of steel
computer's snore negates my zeal

a yawning creature bites the dust
shaking from me a dreamer's lust

fluffy pillow beckons hard
slipshods me when off my guard

as in a trance, my sinew folds
it's time to seek what dreamland holds

so "Good night, to all, may rest be grand
and keep the sheets quite free of sand

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
