kindred love...even the angels know

Silent is the night,
listening to the angels sing,
who would have ever thought
that gazing at the heavens
they would ask;
can’t we love
till there is peace,
and hate is
no more?
How long
before they learn
and become one human family?
When the stars explode
in the night,
then they’ll know,
like a thousand burning candles,
that were lit for the love of one,
that kindred stars look to the heavens,
where angels trod
and know,
that they shine
across all lands,
throughout all time
as a remembrance of hope and love.
