This is for my Love because I am his.

The wind spoke to me tonight, my love,
and as its fingers tangled in my hair
I believed you were thinking of me.
There is a rhythm to this ache that fills me
when thoughts of your breath nearer to mine
clutch the insides of my soul.
You belong here.
Yes, you belong here.

If we, with written dreams,
approached love
could endure all the edits
without taking them for harsh criticism?
If there were lessons to be learned
would we let too much pride and strong will
diminish our chances to be involved in a masterpiece?

I love you,
and beyond all the fairytales,
the moonlight/sunlight holding hands beneath the heavens
there is a reality we are charged to face.
I have visioned us both on dignified mounts of love
that gallop with determination
and with each beat of foot comes our language
deflecting all poison arrows of doubt
that fly madly toward our resolve to never be parted.

Come nearer to me now
with this
my heart
open.
Sing softer to me now
with this
your tongue
enchanted.
Whisper boldy to me now
with these
your lips
enclosed upon my own
and let those sweet envelopes of flesh
hold me while I am sent to be opened...
words waiting to be devoured by hunger.
I love you tirelessly
and am a trained brush
clasped in your quivering hands
let us make the first strokes of our masterpiece,
and give truth to what we have spoken.
