And with the touch of feather’s quill
To parchment , flow of ink
Words to make beating hearts still
Cleverest of minds, think

Touch now the book, leather bound
Fill more than your eyes
This treasure rare, found
Centuries old, without revise

First edition, only book ever wrote
And here, dedication
To his love, in lavish denote
Romantic in revelation

His love, vivid devotion
Ever, my heart does weep
Swept away with emotion
I shall forever keep

Fragile, his testimony
Words of love, too late spoken
Aching with, “if only”
Timeless words, now a token

Speak, without hesitation
‘fore she should depart
Without reservation
Tell her, tell her your heart

(sigh) Oh Susan, it's so great to see you again, yay, I have missed your smile so so much! It is so sad to see so many show unrequited love and I encourage all to share heir hearts to the ones they love and find a response of certainty and love in return! (big hugggssssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Susan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Hi Susan...so nice to see you!
I love this, and how true...
we should tell those we love how we feel now..
rather than later to be left thinking...'if only'
Very beautifully penned...

Such pretty images this gives me, sweetie.   A very good choice of a picture, too.  *hugs* and

SeaGal,
just last week, i felt attracted to a print, painted by Mary Cassatt, that struck me:  the eyes like Mona Lisa.  It was if, just your poem did just a few minutes ago, like someone was able to open my feelings from a locked vault, and let it melt over the image.

Anne, this is a very beautiful poem...but so sad to me. We should never fail to tell people we love them (if we, in fact, do), because we never know if we'll have another chance. Thanks for sharing your  poem.

Love To All,
Ethel

Susan,

as always such beauty from you. this was
just so charming and romantic...then again
there is no romance poem like a Sea-poem!
just gorgeous hon, but then again so is your
heart, so how could this not be.
love you.
take care
