The Standard Disclaimer My words are written, spread across the page Here for all to see upon this stage ‘Tis always true they’re of the heart A feeling or thought, needed to impart Often the words are for those who know And to those who don’t, just go with the flow They may even be scribed just for fun Or to express desire, and let passions run Sometime they’re for all who venture here Even if the meaning is not always clear Perhaps deliberately so, just to make you ponder Or maybe it’s just the humour of a lad down under So I leave you now with this verse of disclaim In the hope that perhaps there’ll be some refrain Not so much from the cryptic verse But freedom from the Poets curse I don't know where I'm running now, I'm just running on... ~ Jackson Browne |
