Lamentations 4 Across the street was an old church mission She went with the verse in hand to question, Although the dark of night was just ending The dim of that within was consuming, Many a vagabond there was laying At the alter Brother James* was praying. Certainly a someone that could help her A man of the Cloth would have the answer. “Kind Sir,” said she and paused for a moment Waiting while from prayer became unbent, “I have this Bible verse I’d like to learn” He went to ‘The Book’ and started to turn. “Psalms Thirteen is a little Psalms I see, Five : But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.” Brother James read it with great emotion. She wasn’t sure she understood the answer, A cry took the brother to minister Comforting others was his Devine call, Now compassion to a man in withdrawal. The words meant more with the example shown As she listened to his prayers glad tone. The lesson now was not so very hard As she happen to glance back at the card. ~~ (blank solid white) ~~the other side~~ (blank solid white) Gloom *Brother James from Archives #19 : /pip/Forum58/HTML/000324.html Psalm 13 5: But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. |
