Forgive me for giggling
when your peppermint kisses
touched the warmth of my lips

they were cool with winter ice,
so nice. The chill upon wind,
my friend, did caress me cold
while you were away. Then,

today, with candy coated tongue
you tasted me my love
and the warmth brought laughter
as the freeze slipped away

and again, today, before we must
be on our way, the gentle kiss
with sweetened taste, in haste
we said good-bye, yet still
upon my senses there you are

tingling peppermint memories
thoughts that tickle my lips.
