Beneath this rock there lies a man, who always gave his best In the minds of those he leaves behind, it’s clear he passed the test He was kind and he was honest, he worked hard for every dime He met his maker knowing, that he had always found the time To teach us right from wrong, and in the world to earn our place And that the only way to beat the devil, is to meet him face to face And your worth will not be measured, by what you drive or where you live But by the person that you choose to be, when you have nothing else to give Of all the roles a man must play, before they lay him in the ground Husband, Father, Brother, Son, were the only ones he’d found That made him feel like he was doing, what he was put on Earth to do He never cared what people thought, to his own heart he was true But in the end he could be proud, of the man he had become Faithful husband, loving father, caring brother, grateful son Faithful husband, loving father, caring brother, grateful son He rests in peace here knowing, all there was to do is done. |

Gerry, this is a wonderful eulogy for someone who obviously made a quality lasting impression on you. A family member? |

Beautiful words, a wonderful tribute to a man of honour. The words of a seasoned and talented writer afterall. |
