They wept beside me crooning to my tears they bade me be still be content and happy They do not know they cannot understand i cry for the morning so lonely before nights stand They hold me close to steal my tears but my tears are my own so i shed them with love I cry for the night its dark soul longs till it again feels the touch of the morn They sit with me and talk of beauty of fine wines of fine summer days They do not understand I cry for those Those that have no tears Those that must be strong That come to me and beg me be happy I will not allow that i cry for them They find beauty in the world through my tears and my loneliness Who am i to deny to these saints the beauty they seek by my own happiness Take a good look at my face |

i cry for the morning so lonely before nights stand ~~~ that line is hauntingly beautiful in its aching images and analogies...as is this whole verse .... I cry for the night its dark soul longs till it again feels the touch of the morn powerful poetic tears Paul. just one line ... one rhyme ... one metered verse ... |
