When the wind is a chilling
and the gold sparks are spilling
up the chimney's remember
of some days long ago

Then the frost is a calling
with the hint of snow falling
for the start of December
sets the season aglow

Then the stars set a twinkling
in the night sky they're winking
as they glisten and glitter
to light up the night

For the goodwill of season
both the promise and reason
are matched by the weather
and arrayed in plain sight

Now with sleigh bells a ringing
and those carollers singing
may the glow of the season
be captured in song

With the chill air a coming
cross the world - there is sunning
'tis the season of pleasin'
and we cannot go wrong

May the world cease their rushing
all the shoving and pushing
and pause for a moment
to see the season aglow

Then they, all in wonder
will hear the world thunder
and the reasons for seasons
is something they'll know

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Nice thoughts Kethry, if only for a moment this could happen maybe the spirit of the holiday would return for some

Keth lovely poem and very wonderful always I just wish we all were back in the states that’s all, nice and warm and not cold which it is in England very cold indeed.  I could just see the snowmen lining up in rows don’t you. You are very special to me and so is the poem.

Very well written

Kethry, this is wonderfully put together and the message just perfect.  Into my library it goes

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn
