Shivering anticipation, wanting you,
pushing you away. Pre-birth,
You seeped my soul weeped my psyche,
in pattern of shade pulled,
blowing to and fro.

Like an itchy cavity,
to sneeze a breeze and peek
into my existence.

My window screen denies fangs,
outside, whose bite, a delight,
favorite morsal: This Little Girl.
I slam ~pain~ shut, retreat
and make believe, ~tear-streaked~
I don't see you are my power.
And, the hurt I've denied
for an eternity.

But, now I'll quiet this storm
accepting the seemingly impossible.
Honoring you as you pen my senses
yet unexplored, for you are my muse

I so adore!
.

A note of explanation: went decades
without writing...until recently

May love and light always shine upon you!

Please note I edited this poem,  doubling up most sentences,
however the edit doesn't show and by hitting print, can see it isn't aligned properly but cannot get it to come up on screen to see it.

So, sorry....it might look a mess until I can get it on screen which sometimes takes hours...

Noah,

How sweet you are...it is you who are an inspiration to all of us.
Thank for your kind words.

Bill,

Thank you so much for replying.....
I know this is a bit much, with the fangs bit, but really, I stuffed down feelings about writing, (and not able to persue it) it became like a wild animal, the times I couldn't ignore it. Always stalking the inner me....
This is just an experiment of writing.
Thank you.

Kethry,

That the poem reflects the poet is something I shall think about a while
Thank you for taking the time to read and respond.

Sunkissed,

"I like this, guess why?"  Not a clue.
Thanks for responding...

So glad the prodigal muse returned--enjoyed!!
