Tainted images, that cannot speak, Kept secret, from the light, Falls upon a passerby, Who cries out to the night. Within his breath, you see the stars, His eyes, they hold the sun, His kiss would mean my own demise, In an instant...he is gone. A trace of shadows, left behind, A whisper in the night, A dream that bleeds into my soul, An ache, you cannot fight. Held inside, a darkened cell, A memory, I cannot keep, Dwelling yet, to break me so, Taunting me, within my sleep. A distant glance, into my heart, To find him standing there, Passing by, yet once agian, Running fingers through my hair. Awakened now, by soft caress, Although I cannot feel, Tender love, it hurts you most, When you know, it is not real. |

Nice! I'm glad to say I've never experienced this in my life... yet. But I can imagine how it must feel for that to happen to someone... |

This is a beautiful poem, well written... a little frustrating for the person who has written or is wanting this love that isn't there... excellent write... |

More frustrating, I think than even I could begin to explain....... Sometimes the softest moments, are the hardest on your heart. |

such feelings can haunt the days and nights with no escape. You present the story well... hope you find some peace.... |
