(to the tune of Frosty, The Snowman, of course )
.
.

Toerag the mudman
Was a real dirty crud.
Since there was no snow
We made poor old Toe
Out of chunks of gooey mud.

Toerag the mudman
Used to scare the kids at play
And, to tell the truth,
He was quite uncouth
And he's always been that way.

There must have been
Some horse dung in
Those chunks of mud we used
Cause he would smell
Like holy hell
As noses he abused...

Oh,

Toerag, the mudman,
With his face of dirty brown..
Mothers, watch your young
'Lest they smell like dung
Now that Toerag's back in town!

Michael,
Good Christmas Season advice! And just in time too. LMBO Such sweet (stinky) revenge. Well done.

Michael, thank you for a very much needed smile tonight.  This is a treasure to read, and indeed a   Hugs to you poet friend.

I know that you can 'read' me
but can you  'hear'  "me"?

burned and scorched.

is there a war going on?

it might sing better if it he was a really dirty crud, as opposed to just a real dirty crud.

just a thought.

Michael, I know one thing for certain, I don't ever want to get in either your, or Toe's, bad books!----You both are the handsomest, smartest, kindest, sexiest,  funniest, most talented..... ad infinitum .... men I know!!!tehe

Speaking of books, I slept with yours last night--and it wasn't a "bad book"!--it was a great book! I literally couldn't put it down and I fell asleep with the light on and with you lying acr--whoops! I mean with YOUR BOOK lying across my chest! tehe-- I am sincerely impressed with your talent and am enjoying your book more than you'll ever know!

Now, back to this poem, I too, had warned our friend Toe to be prepared for this cervine revenge...but it was even deadlier than I could have imagined.

BTW, he is not odiferous at all. This morning he is rather fragrant and has the delicate scent of lilacs eminating from him! tehe

~ May your wit and charm continue to drip from your quill!

Linda

I like it when you throw mud my Deer
Poor Toereg caught the lot I fear
You aim and hit your goal right there
He had it coming, fair is fair

’Deer dearest heart this one of my lightning visits, or should that be enlightening visits, and of course I had to read and reply, thank you for the smile, its what I need right now, truly it is.

Utterly wonderful perfect phrasing, perfect meter and wonderful beat I love it utterly utterly utterly. Popping you in my library so I can have you….. I mean of course the read over and over again…….. I know I’m insatiable but since you won’t accede to my request for reposts what do you expect? A girl has to take what she can get……..

Absolutely excellent writing as always

Love and warm stuff
