We three kings...

Beware the gifts of the new magi.

Beware the Kings of Perfidy
who light the night sky
with
eight days of oil
spilled
upon the bleeding earth
while one babe's asleep
in a cradle of Love
shining so bright
others are
left out in the cold,
no hand to hold.

Hail to the new Kings.
Bah, humbug.
I prefer darkness to light
if someone else's
beloved child
has to die
so that I may see
the light.

Beware the gifts.

Why can't we all live in Peace, and share the bounties of this planet? The resources of the Earth do not belong to any one nation or people, but to ALL. God help us ALL if we don't learn from the past, to be civilized here in the present, that we may have a future.

"Over and over and over
again, my friend
don't you all believe
we're on the eve
of destruction"

~Barry McGuire~

I have said, and will say again, that we now find ourselves on the cusp.
Be it for good, or be it for ill, things will be different.
Soon!

sorry, Kacy...Just spilled out.

Spill all the thoughts you want Ed. I'd rather see that than the blood. Is it time to consult a ouji board, pray, or bow our heads and prepare for doom?

Diamond one, thank you. I hesitated before posting, and re-wrote the title and a couple of lines. War and greed and starvation are offensive.

Takes guts to sing a different song this season. Thanks for doing so.

Kacy, I like the way you speak out against the things wrong
in this world. And, you do it so effectively, too.
Thank you for saying what a lot of people can't (or won't)
find the words to say.

What I mean is,
With these recent global political, religious and ethnic conficts all coming to a head, seemingly at the same time, we (Humans)have an opportunity to get it right.

Or, an opportunity, to make it all go away.

I'll hop down from the soapbox now, you're doing fine.

We forget that the Earth is a living organism and that all organisms have defense mechanism's and a survival instinct. Mother Nature will come around and remind us we're guests not owners of this planet. If not then we'll do ourselves in, it's already in the air isn't it?
I have been labeled unfairly as a nihilist, because I believe that humankind is doomed to destroying itself. However, and I don't take credit for this it was Nietzche's view, there is hope in that destruction. That humankind would learn a lesson and rebuild itself into something better. Although part of me thinks that humankind has been through all this before, the ground holds many secrets.

Thank you for that reply, Ethel.

Yes, Ed, we have enough geese to lay the eggs of Peace, but do we have the guts or brains to handle this treasure gently?
Hope so, as I'd like my daughter to have a future.

Aenimal, you are so right. We are all part of this organism called Earth, and we damn well better learn how to gain some self-respect. Thanks.

OK, I'll step down from the Tide box.

Hey Kacy...Was having a conversation yesterday about how were forced to veiw existence(spirituality if you prefer) with a finite mind incapable of understanding the infinate.Supose all any of us can do is to just attempt to improve the lot of those we can and learn acceptance.Good write, left me thinking.

Live like it's your last day...

A good point Ray, that a finite mind isn't really capable of grasping the totality of infinity. But must we humans always be so  myopic?
Thanks friend. Talking it out somehow helps ease the pain of reality. Peace to you.
